ABOUT OUR CUSTOM HOME CONTRACTOR

Barry Bransford graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management. In 2000, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida and earned his Real Estate Salesperson license for the State of Florida in order to gain a more holistic understanding of the construction industry. Shortly after moving to Jacksonville, he became a Construction Superintendent for Crawford Homes, a local Jacksonville homebuilder.

During his first year with Crawford Homes, he constructed and closed 15 homes. During his second year, he constructed and closed over 55 additional homes and earned his Florida General Contractors license.

By utilizing good communication skills, persistence and a having a commitment to quality, he earned the reputation of a problem solver within the company, and shortly after the end of his second year with Crawford Homes he became a Project Manager responsible for multiple Superintendents in various communities throughout the Jacksonville area. During his tenure as Project Manager, he participated in the construction and closing of approximately 325 homes.
He continued his dedicated performance in his new position for a little more than a year, and when Crawford Homes was sold to a large national homebuilder, he was quickly promoted to manage the Construction Department. For a period of two years Barry managed the construction and warranty operations of the Jacksonville Division of this large national homebuilder. During this period of time he was responsible for the construction of nearly 1200 homes, while helping to guide the division through the acquisition of yet another local homebuilder by the large national company less than 1 year after the acquisition of Crawford Homes.

In 2004 Barry completed study for his MBA and received his diploma from the University of North Florida. In 2005 he decided to pursue his dream of owning and operating his own homebuilding company, and in August 2005, Barry started Cappella Homes, Inc. Since then, Barry has put his personal touch on all his projects. This includes his consistent attitude of professionalism with which he approaches all his clients.

Operating Cappella Homes is immensely satisfying because construction is Barry’s passion. As he has often said, life is wonderful for those who love what they do for a living… and he loves what he’s doing for a living!
